Your physician at One Oak Medical will determine which skin lesions are suspicious for melanoma. Usually, the lesion that looks atypical from the others, or is highly asymmetrical, has a diameter greater than 0.6 cm, and is elevated is suspicious, and should be biopsied. Results are available within a week, and the downtime from this procedure is very minimal.
